I’m late with this again this week, but here is the Collect for the Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany from the Order for Worship of the Reformed Church in the United States. It is quite a bit different from the prayer for the same week found in The Book of Common Prayer.
The Collect in the Order for Worship draws on Psalm 24.2, Psalm 119.89, 2 Corinthians 4.18, 2 Corinthians 5.7, Matthew 24.13, and Hebrews 13.8.
The Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
THE COLLECT
O GOD, who hast founded the earth upon the seas, and established it upon the floods, and whose word is forever settled in heaven; grant unto us grace, we beseech Thee, to look beyond the things which are seen and temporal to the things which are not seen and eternal; that walking by faith more than by sight, we may not be unduly moved by any occasions in this world, but be able to endure unto the end in the way of life; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who is the same yesterday, and to-day, and forever. Amen.
