TCI and The Davenant Trust have been working together as partners for the past few years, and we are very excited to help promote the new Davenant House project that is now underway. As a way to promote our principles and upcoming plans, we have enlisted Roman Roads Media to shoot a series of videos discussing our big ideas. You can view them at the Davenant Trust website or click on these links:

Many of these videos lay out founding ideals of TCI and topics that we have been chipping away at over the years. I would especially recommend the 2nd video, “Wisdom and Worldview,” where Peter Escalante explains perhaps our chief philosophical distinctive. We have always wanted to retain Christian “engagement” and “activism,” but we have definitely been critical of the way in which Christians, especially conservative Reformed and Evangelical Christians, have been doing so. More than that, we have become convinced that the problems do go all the way to the basic categories of thinking. We’ve jokingly called for more “world” and less “view,” and I think that Mr. Escalante expresses this well.
If you are also excited about the topics and ideas discussed in these videos, remember that the Davenant House exists as a place for people to come together and further these conversations, as well as a place where they can live together for a season and grow in Christian virtues and fellowship. There are so many great possibilities that can spring up out of this endeavor, but it will require your participation and support. Please visit the Davenant Trust website, consider attending some Davenant House function, and consider financially supporting the Davenant Trust in some way.

The videos aren’t working for me – wrong privacy settings, Vimeo is complaining.
